Shane Byrne is a highly experienced Showrunner and Executive Producer for some of the biggest unscripted entertainment formats across the UK and US markets.

With a proven track record in delivering high-profile entertainment, reality & game shows, his credits cover major platforms such as FOX, Netflix, Paramount Plus, ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, RTE, Virgin Media and Sky.

Based in London, Shane specialises in Showrunning large-scale entertainment formats. He has been the Showrunner and Executive Producer across five consecutive seasons of Celebrity Name That Tune, working alongside Fox Entertainment Studios. He was an Executive Producer on The Floor and on multiple seasons of Beat Shazam and Don’t Forget The Lyrics, all filmed for Fox out of various production hubs in Europe with a variety of production partners.

As a trusted Executive Producer for global networks, Shane has assembled substantial production teams comprising of European, UK and US crews to lead shows through development, studio, location, fixed-rig and post. He has also launched many new formats and has produced multiple pilots for various networks and streamers.

His other credits include The Circle (Netflix), Britain’s Got Talent (ITV), The X Factor (ITV), Big Brother & Celebrity Big Brother (Channel 5), Strictly Come Dancing / Dancing With The Stars (BBC), Queen of The Universe (Paramount Plus), Got To Dance (Sky), Dating In The Dark (ITV), Ireland’s Got Talent (Virgin Media), Blind Date (Channel 5), The Big Reunion (ITV), One Night With My Ex (Channel 5), Chatty Man (Channel 4), Eating With The Enemy (Virgin Media), The Big Deal (Virgin Media), Channel 4’s Comedy Gala and The Brit Awards (ITV) amongst many more.    

Shane began his television career at state broadcaster RTÉ in Dublin. He then relocated to London where he has worked with many of the industry’s leading production companies including BBC Entertainment, ITV Studios, Fremantle, Banijay, Studio Lambert, Fox Entertainment Studios, So Television, Eureka Studios, Open Mike, Two Four, South Shore, and World of Wonder.
